This is amazing
Did a nice guided walk here. To attend, you must register ahead of time (for free!) with the aquaduct and then meet up with the guide just down the road at the little food stand. On my walk, it was about 10 hikers and 7 staff (3 guides and 4 police providing security). The walk was at an easy pace, with the guides pointing out some plants/fungi as well as speaking to the history of the place. Started and ended with guides stretches. Spanish only. P.s. no internet service so no uber, but you can take a bus back to town. Just flag it down.
The trail is short, and the difficulty level is suitable for beginner hikers. It's very beautiful and well-maintained, and there's a viewpoint with a view of Monserrate and Guadalupe straight ahead. It also features a lovely pine forest.
Beautiful trail, I would return a thousand times.
