You start in the chic neighborhood of Rosales, but within three minutes of entering the trailhead, the 21st century simply evaporates. You are greeted by the sound of the Quebrada—a crystalline stream that sings with the frequency of pure serenity. The Pine Forest: You’ll march through towering columns of pine and eucalyptus. The air isn't just oxygen; it’s a fragrant, refrigerated cocktail of wood-sap and morning dew that clears your sinuses and your soul simultaneously. The Incline: This trail doesn't ask for your permission—it demands your respect. It’s a vertical dance that will turn your quads into pillars of granite.

Awesome place to go hiking without to leave Bogota. Yo can connect with nature and feel out of the city environment. A beautiful path to enjoy. It is a mid level route. Have seen people with very few physical activity get to the top and enjoy te beautiful pine forest and city voew

I love this little oasis in the city. It’s a great little workout uphill, and do not underestimate the downhill, since in the rainy season it is pretty slippery ( can be muddy, slippery rocks, fallen leaves). There is plenty of police, so very very safe. Great views of the part if Bogota. You have to make a reservation online, and beware that by 9:30 on weekdays, the rangers starts the descent from the highest point. Trail goers beware that specially groups of young people tend not to abide by any kind of trail etiquete. People are very nice, though. Unfortunately at some point you will be upset with the people that are posing/ taking selfies ( they are there for the gram, lol). Still, have done it many times while in town and will definygo back many more!

You need a reservation to hike here. Reservations can be made through the app or on the website. Days and times usually open up about a week in advance. If you would like to go on a weekend, I would recommend booking one week in advance. I feel safe on the trails.
