La Serranía
L'accès au sentier La Serranía est gratuit : il suffit de réserver votre place à l'avance. Dans la réserve Bosque Oriental, le parcours va des bois d'eucalyptus à la transition vers le sous-páramo, le long du ruisseau Bosque de Pinos (bassin de la rivière Torca), avec parmi les plus belles vues sur la ville —et même de petits fossiles. 5.0(19)This is an excellent trail along the aqueduct, and I recommend doing it with a reservation. Although you can hike it any day and at any time, it's on aqueduct property, and they are responsible for its care and the protection of its flora and fauna. Therefore, it's best to book in advance through the Cerros del Acueducto website. It's relatively long but not difficult; it's the easiest of all the trails along the aqueduct.
A tour of the Bogotá Aqueduct, showcasing the history, fauna, and flora of the Eastern Hills. From the summit, you can see the San Rafael Reservoir. This is a guided tour, unlike other tours such as Santa Ana La Aguadora. It is necessary to book with the Bogotá Aqueduct, as they provide the necessary security (police, first aid). Since access to the trail is not yet controlled, it could be dangerous to hike alone. It's a very beautiful and relaxing hike. The path is a bit clayey, so you'll need shoes with good grip and sunscreen regardless of the weather, although the tour may be canceled if it rains. The tour is guided and requires a reservation through the aqueduct's website. You'll be in a group of approximately 15-20 people, including police and nursing staff. The path isn't well-fenced, so it can be dangerous if you hike alone or without authorization. From the top, you can see the San Rafael reservoir, and that's where you'll take a break for a snack and to recharge.
Like most of our eastern hills, it's a 5-star hike...stairs, road, rocks, water, trees, vegetation, and water guides (who arrive late, just like the police), but that's easily resolved; they're 5 stars too. The source of streams and the viewpoint overlooking the San Rafael reservoir are a reward for our hike. It starts in San Isidro Park, behind the Belaire shopping center. A highly recommended hike for locals and visitors alike...afterwards, there's a small shopping center with a food court, a good coffee shop, a budget-friendly supermarket, a brewery, and parking for cars and bicycles. You're all invited!
